Sam Barlow is a freelance scriptwriter. He is proud to have written for many of the world's best loved kids' characters. His scripts have contributed to a mountain of bling - including BAFTAs, Emmys, Broadcasts and British and Irish Animation Awards - although he's too humble to brag about such things.
An experienced Head Writer, Sam can pull together teams of other fantastic writers and oversee the scriptwriting for entire series. He works in development too and has a top secret slate of original projects on the go. You should see the notes app on his phone - it's stuffed full of excellent ideas he had on the loo.
Sam's first original IP - Yukee - a music-first show for preschoolers - launched on CBeebies in 2025.
Sam approaches everything he writes with masses of heart and lots of laughs, and with a deadly eye for story structure. So please hit him up for scripts that need writing, ideas that need developing or teams that need assembling.
